Where should I start? Any tips? Hospital vs Nursing Home | SoCal

Hey everyone! I’m about to take my state exam and just finished clinicals. I’d say i liked hospital more than the nursing home because it felt more busy and i did a lot more tasks. I just don’t know where I should start because I heard hospitals prefer some experience. I also heard that nursing homes are understaffed and it becomes such a high resident to CNA ratio leading to burnout and less quality of care (I’ve noticed that in the nursing home we were doing clinicals at)

Basically I’m doing my prerequisites for nursing and plan to transfer to a public university (god allowing) and i want experience that can make me stand out in my application. Also any tips are appreciated from your experience being a CNA :)
