If you’re merging on to I-90, getting on the ramp is your concern.

If you’re getting on I-90 on an on-ramp, it is your responsibility to smoothly merge into traffic.

Period.

Should you get out of the right lane and let people on if you can? Absolutely.

But if you can’t, then it is not your problem to hit your brakes, speed up, etc…

It is the responsibility of the person getting on the interstate to adjust their speed, or take appropriate action to ensure smooth merging.

A lot of folks really need to realize this, and stop slamming on their brakes to let people in. You’re going to cause an accident.

And for the folks who are saying “go ahead, if you don’t move illegally move you”, “I wasn’t asking to come over”, or whatever else; no. No you won’t. You’ll throw your hands up, maybe flip some folks off, or even cry about it.
