Just watched my mail carrier leave a "first delivery attempt failed" slip in my mailbox.

I was in the living room watching TV waiting for a package that was out for delivery. Usually I'm working this time of say but I'm off today. Walked outside when I heard the mail truck coming (I live at the end of a dead-end street and it has a distinctive sound). Watched them drive up, put stuff in the box, and drive off. I walked out to the box expecting my package and got a pink piece of paper saying they could not find me to get a signature and that I can pick up my package next week.
