[TOMT] [Book] New YA Book with Green Guy on Cover

I'm looking for a recent YA novel (not a graphic novel) that has a very cartoony illustrated cover. The cover is mostly teal and takes place in a high school hallway. The romantic lead is a green-skinned teenage boy with black hair, pointy ears, and casual clothes like a hoodie or long-sleeve shirt and jeans. I think he's the new kid at school. It looked like a graphic novel but was actually a prose novel, and I saw it at a bookstore within the last few months.
