Do bacteria survive in death valley?
I've been getting into sous vide lately. The premise of that cooking technique is that ecoli and other bad bacteria actually die around 130 degrees if held at that temperature long enough.
So my question is, in somewhere like death valley where it occasionally gets that hot for several hours, is all of the normal bacteria dead?
