Linguistics - incoming student

I am an incoming international student this year majoring in linguistics and english language and I havent been able to find much online about the program. I was curious if any one here is in it and might be able to give me an overview of what classes to get into, professors you love or hate, or any general advice. I'm super excited to start in the fall!!
