Successfully unbricked my old PSP-3004 after years using a Baryon Sweeper (Wiki!)! Now I have a hardware problem...

Troubleshooting

I finally took the plunge and built a Baryon Sweeper setup. My PSP-3004 had been hard-bricked for many years, and I honestly didn't think I'd ever see it boot again.

I didn't have the date code sticker anymore, so I had no idea which motherboard revision I had. Fortunately it turned out to be compatible, and the guide worked perfectly. Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to it!

Unfortunately, once it booted, I discovered another problem...

The LCD has heavy vertical/horizontal lines, so it clearly needs replacing. While troubleshooting it, I noticed that applying the slightest pressure to a folded ("Z"-shaped) flex cable near the battery/speaker area would immediately make the PSP shut off with a small "bzzzt" sound, as if something was briefly shorting.

I decided to reseat that flex cable. While opening the ZIF connector with a plastic spudger, the locking tab literally disintegrated. The plastic had become extremely brittle after all these years.

So now I have a few questions:

Can anyone identify exactly what this flex cable is for? (photo attached) Has anyone found replacement ZIF locking tabs for these connectors, or do I need to replace the entire connector? If the lock isn't available separately, is there any known workaround?

I'm located in Norway in case anyone here happens to know someone who does this kind of repair.

This PSP has been with me for many years and I'd really like to finish restoring it rather than using it for parts.

Thanks!
