First-time visitor spending a weekend in Chicago. Tips?
Hi everyone! It’ll be my first time visiting Chicago for the 4th of July weekend. My wife and I will be staying downtown, and we’ll have all day Saturday and Sunday to explore.
I’m a big fan of Shameless, so I was thinking about making a quick stop at the Gallagher house on Saturday morning just to see it and take a quick photo.
Is that generally safe to do, or is it something locals would recommend avoiding?
Other than that, what would you recommend doing with such a short amount of time in Chicago?

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to visiting your city!
