Google Extortion

So back in March I discovered that my Google Business had been suspended and was unable to be found in Google Searches.I have had my Business Profile established since 2020. I have managed to receive over40 honest business reviews with a solid 5-star rating, but my account was suspended for what Google claimed was Deceptive Content violating Google policies. I was told to review the policies and conditions for Google Business Profiles and correct the violation.

I reviewed the policies outlined by Googole and scrubbed my profile without finding any violations. I asked Google several times to identify the exact violation so I could correct it, but every time I was directed back to Googles policy definitions. I was told through email communication that because of Google policy that they could not tell me what the exact violation was.

I was finally able to contact by way of email (you can't speak to anybody at Google by phone) that for $700 they could fix my profile and put my Business Profile back on line.

This certainly sounds like extortion to me. Has anyone else experienced such an issue?
