Amazon now/fresh items return

Returns & Refunds

So we recently ordered ice cream from Amazon. The tub wasn't fully filled (less than half was empty). The seal was intact and didn't look tampered, so this likely was a fault from the manufacturer. A good bit of it was also melted from the sides till it reached our place, which is ok considering traffic etc. But because of the quantity issue we returned and received a refund. However, the reason was marked as "damage during transit" or something similar. Now this was likely a faulty ice cream tub from the manufacturer, but the reason makes it seem like quality was damaged during transit.

What I want to know is does this reason affect the delivery person?? Like is their pay deducted or something. Cause I understand quick commerce working conditions are very fierce.
