Need advise to switch to DE

Hi all Data engineers , I need ur guidance to transition to DE role. Currently I am working as automation engineer and support apps activity too. I already have 2 yr 10 months experience in IT. Will they consider me for DE roles ? Also pls advice me what experience level I need to apply. I have covered python,pyspark,sql, Airflow and Currently covering azure from grow data skills course. Pls advise me
