Tayam: Mulligan Question

Deck Fine Tuning

Mythical beast tamers, I summon thou!

I'm not new to cEDH and have a few tournaments under my belt but I was always on more classic and good stuffy decks (mainly TnK and RogSi). I am also not completely new to playing Tayam. I'm kinda ok in playing out the basic lines but lately I wanted to get a better hang of it and maybe take it to a tournament. My biggest issue with the deck so far has been the mulligans/early game since the cards are so different to other decks and its the most crucial and vulnerable phase for the deck.

My question: Do you have any general and/or specific tips for mulligans? Any turn thresholds were you want to achieve certain things (t3 activation, I'm looking at you)? Any signpost cards you snap keep? A certain amount of mana/counters you want to have available at specific turns?
How low do you usually mull/what do you keep on lower mulls?

My experience/thoughts so far:
- turn 3 activation feels nice and I heard that many people aim for that. But I feel I get to this very inconsistently, especially because I am on a list with less fast mana. Are you still heavily mullin' for this or are slower starts fine? If you have to go slower, do you only do so with stax available or sth like that?
- The deck seems to not do so well with lower mulligans since I want so many resources (Mana AND counters). Is that a misconception?
- Wall of Roots great. Are there other cards that really stand out for you?
- Rather aim for activations than for stax, except when in very fast pods (t1 deafening feels great to me in turbo pods even if I have to accept taking a little more time to set up tayam)

My current list is a copy of ComedIan's latest list. He to me has proven that he's a great player and I trust his experience more than mine :D
