How to Force an App to STAY Offloaded
I have tried searching, and all I can find is stuff on how to offload an app.
I do not use the native Apple Music app (I do need to back up my music, which is why I haven’t completely deleted it).
Every time I turn on my car, it connects via Bluetooth and starts auto-playing the same song, even if I’m playing Spotify or YouTube when it connects (it will pause whatever it is), and even sometimes when I’m on a phone call. It drives me bonkers. This was never an issue with older cars (Bluetooth via radio adapter), and has only started with this new car’s on-board Bluetooth system.
I’ve tried different versions of a shortcut to pause it when this happens, but it doesn’t work.
My last resort was to offload the Music app, which works for about two days max, and then it re-installs itself with no prompting from me, and I’m back to square one.
Is there a way to force an app to NOT reinstall itself, or am I out of luck until I back up my music files and delete the app entirely?
