Sig's optic warranty driving me up the fucking wall
I'm actually going insane. I have a Romeo 8T AMR. I shattered the sacrificial lens that is user replaceable. So I ask the Sig warranty for a replacement and they say sure.
- First call: Sig sent out the part no questions asked. When I received it, they sent the wrong part. I received the opaque, blacked out lens cover. Keep this in mind.
- Second call: I tell them that they sent the wrong part and try to explain what I need. The guy seems to understand and puts the part on order. 2 months goes by without a shipping notification
- Third call: I call in questions as to when I can expect the part to ship. The person apologizes and states that it was "entered into the system wrong" and that he has corrected it and that it will ship shortly.
It eventually ships. However the item description clearly states that it is again the opaque lens cover, not the transparent one. And upon receiving it, that's exactly what I got. So now I have two lens covers.
- Fourth call: I call them and tell them that they sent the wrong part twice, and that I really need the transparent lens cover, not the opaque one. The employee tells me to email him pictures of the part that is broken, and tells me what email to send it to over the phone. I sent the pictures just for the email to be invalid. Maybe I didn't hear it correctly but I'm pretty sure I typed it out as he was telling me the address. May be an oopsie on my end but idk.
- Fifth contact: I actually reach out to the customer service email instead of calling, this time I can attach an imgur link to what part I need. This will hopefully clear up any miscommunication on what I actually fucking need.
Customer service says yep, we're on it. Sending it out shortly.
I receive the shipping notification and the item description is the opaque, blacked out lens cover, again.
