Shell sizing

Are 8” or 9” shells really worth the extra money? I could’ve gotten 2 packs of 24 Excalibur’s for $180 but got a pack of 24 8” shells for $200. Are they really worth the extra $? I also got a 6 pack of 9” shells for $75, those I don’t mind. The $200 for 24 shells is what hit me because I usually get 2-3 boxes of 24 6”s for nearly the nearly the same price.
