What happens if I put DDR4 RAM in my DDR5-4000MHz minimum speed motherboard

I have the z790 aorus elite ax 14th gen support but the RAM I have is Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200MHz. If I put this RAM into my motherboard will is work fine or will it cause stuttering/crashes?
