How did you manage traveling for demo lessons?
Currently teaching in Chicago, and didn't have to do a demo lesson for my current job because it was mid-year and they needed the position filled. Based on conversation I've had, demo lessons seem to be standard in DOE. If you applied from out of state, how did you manage the travel costs?
Will it be a deal breaker to request to do an interview online?
If you make it to the demo stage, how many candidates are you competing with?
Did you stay overnight, or do a round trip flight same day?
How far in advance are demo lessons scheduled?
Is it feasible to line up multiple interviews and demo lessons in the same week to save on airfare?
What is the feasibility of subletting or getting an extended stay hotel in or near the city for the summer if you plan to apply to a lot of jobs?
