I dont care that you "finally got a job!"

rant

I know this might seem rude or insensitive (I guess it kind of is), but I usually look through this subreddit to find people in a similar situation so I feel less miserable. Turns out, its not just me, the market really is a pile of dogshit. Now the rant:

The problem is that I cant stand this bullshit about "Guys omg I finally got a job $67/hour i believe in you you can do it too"

Thing is, these are extremely condecending, and really, most of it is luck. Mostly down to coincidence, not really "skill". Connections, region, job field, these make huge differences in whether you get a job or not. Saying "keep trying out there guys!!! :))))" means nothing when you really dont care about anything and just want validation/me telling you Im so proud of you and wish you the best etc., while Im here still jobless. Really Im not proud of you. Its not "If I can do it, you can do it too", that's just not how it works. And theres also the "advice" they give, which is basically worthless. Again, tons of variables influence the situation. You arent in a position of telling others what to do just cause you got a job.

I know I know, I should be happy for (OP), but why would I be? Whats the point of you posting about how good of a job you got to the people who still are looking for one after months and even years? Its just shitty behaviour. Got a job? Cool, I still dont have one. I want one, and I still cant get one, and reading other people's shitty experiences makes me feel a bit better about the situation Im in, at least knowing Im not alone in this bullshit "job hunting" thing.

Whats even more annoying are the people who try to "relate" with bullshit like "guys I used to be like you, but now I have $150k/yr job, and Im still not happy guys its just so bad :(" or "hey man I make 100k a year and its now what you think it is bro", or of course the "I make 200k a year. This is how I see it: (insert bullshit here)"

Just fuck off, dude.

This is a rant post, yes, but I just hate these types of people who yell about how much they succeded, then think that puts them in a position where they can tell others what to do and how to get a job.

Maybe its jealousy, or maybe envy, or maybe its the poison seeping from me, I dont know. I just wanted to share this unpopular opinion. Last thing I wanna see when failing to get a job is about how someone else got a job.

In other news, Im starting to regret graphic design. Horrible fucking investment, both in time and money. Should've done programming or something.
