The villa defending Sincere & Zach

Grown Folks Discussion 🧠

Now, I am just as disappointed by this turn of events as the next person. It's odd to see them defending the people that we've seen time and time again lie, stir up drama, and talk shit.

But I think everyone knows people in real life that are toxic but varied. I think we look at the islanders through the lens of them having to be Almost Perfect but people are complex and make bad decisions a lot of the time.

I feel like the audience gets quite immersed in this show and expects perfection from these 20 somethings that are just figuring life out. There's probably a lot to love about Sincere and Zach that we don't see off camera. Friendship and Couple wise.

We see about an hour and thirty minutes of 24 hours. Of course the producers pick the worst or most interesting things of what they say. So overall, I think it actually makes a lot of sense for them to be defending them. I bet you Zach plays like a ""golden retriever"" guy most of the time. It seems like Sincere plays the villa sounding board, and people go to him because he strings words together nicely and he speaks with a soft voice.

The islanders have become friends with them, so of course they see the good in them, even when they're making bad choices. I don't fault the islanders for defending them, because people in the villa have a different point of view than we do.

We may see them as our "Villains of the Villa" but the Villa sees them as their friends whose "hearts are in the right place but their actions don't follow through". The second one is fixable, so of course they're going to try to help them through it.

Tldr: While it's annoying to us, the villagers probably feel like they're doing whats right by defending Zach and Sincere.
