Episiotomy
I just read that a detailed microscopic map of the female perineum wasn't even made until this past March.
Which is honestly terrifying, considering how many times nerves could have been damaged. And the truth is, the episiotomy was mostly for the doctors rather than the mothers… luckily, episiotomies aren't done as much today, and thank goodness the perspective on them has changed, especially regarding how the wound heals. (ATLEAST here in europe)
Do women here have experience with an episiotomy, or any lasting side effects?
