Thinking of switching from a Beverly 350 to a Vulcan S, how is pillion comfort?

I'm currently riding a Beverly 350 Sport Touring. Since moving from the "bit city" closer to the Dolomites, I've started to feel that the 350cc struggles a bit on the steeper mountain roads, especially when riding two-up. The lack of a manual clutch also makes it harder to modulate the power precisely in some situations.

Lately I've been enjoying day trips around the area much more, usually with my partner, and we're also considering the occasional multi-day weekend trip once or twice a year.

I've watched and read a lot of reviews, and the Vulcan has really caught my attention. There are a few used ones for sale near me, so I'm seriously considering it.

My main concern is passenger comfort. How comfortable is the pillion seat on longer rides? I haven't seen many passenger-oriented accessories besides a backrest. Are grab handles available, or does the passenger mainly hold onto the rider? I'd also appreciate hearing from anyone who regularly rides two-up on a Vulcan.
