Annoying shine when coloring

Hey fellas, just trying to use the polychromos for the first time(along with a coat of markers) but after a day I noticed annoying shine on the paper, not sure if it's was bloom or not because I was told they don't do that but I feel like I can't keep drawing with this, any ideas? I now burnished but it was even before that
