Newbie looking for a decent setup

I am looking for recommendations on a decent subwoofer and amp for my hatchback (Focus ST). I'd like to stay under $500 for the sub and amp. My only experience with a sound system is in my truck. It currently has 2 Alpine SWT-10S4 subs and an Infinity Kappa k600 amp in a pre-built box that's under the back seats and I'm happy with the overall setup but again it's my only real experience with a sound system.

I listen mostly to rock/punk rock and country, with a little bit of rap too. I don't care about earth shaking bass, but I'd like to at least have as much overall bass as my truck does. From what I've read, this kind of music mix is better with a sealed box. I thought I had decided on the Dayton Audio UMII12-22 Ultimax, but most of the information I find on it sounds like it's made more for home theaters. I planned to pair it with a Deaf Bonce Machete MFA1.1000.

Give me your recommendations or feedback on what I have initially researched as a setup.
