Joining the marines with bipolar depression

Enlisting

I've wanted to join the marines for a while and tried once before and was declined for this reason. On my paperwork, I was diagnosed at 7 years old with bipolar depression and thus was my full stop, and my recruiter basically told it would never happen, which i understand and accepted but that diagnosis was pushed by my foster parents and essentially coached me what to say to get more government assistance and a check on me I've cut off contact with her when I was thrown out at 16 for getting smart after a national guard recruiter told me the Meds needed to be stopped for 2 years and she essentially said money was more important than my future I'm 21 now and I'm relatively normal if less than social and I'm asking this now because a family friend said if that was the case I could still try and be upfront but I'd rather be safe than make an ass of my self at the recruiters office
