Towards Paragon 300: seasonal or eternal?

Greetings. I really would love working objectively towards the paragon 300 trophy, but can't play too regularly. What would be the best approach: starting ASAP a new season 14 character (which class/build?) or keep working with my eternal characters, currently at level 250? Your experience is greatly appreciated.
