Has anyone had the carriere appliance?

I now have a large overjet due to braces. I’m all for premolar extractions, except I was told by my orthodontist that extractions would lead to my teeth being pulled backwards too much for it to be worth it. I did research and found that the carriere appliance treats moderate overjets, and just wanted to hear if anyone could share their experience if they had it.

Did it fix your flaring? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
