The best free marketing advice I've ever received

Someone once told me:

"Don't try to convince everyone.

Help one specific person."

That advice changed everything.

Instead of writing for "everyone interested in business,"

I imagine one person.

What are they struggling with today?

What would genuinely help them?

That mindset makes content easier to write and much more useful.

People don't share content because it's long.

They share it because it solves a real problem.

Whenever I create something now, I ask:

"If someone reads this for five minutes, will they leave with something valuable?"

If the answer is no, I rewrite it.

Question: What's the best piece of marketing advice you've ever heard?
