Would the new Mike episode in theaters be a good way to introduce my kids to MST3K?

So my kids are 15 and 13 and they’ve never seen an episode of MST3K. I’ve been a little wary to show it to them just because generally speaking I only get one chance to introduce them to something; if it doesn’t click right away then they really aren’t up for giving it a second try. Which is fine. They’ve got their own wants and interests and I get that but if it all possible, I’d like them to give MST3K a full shot.

So I was thinking about taking them to see the new Mike episode when it is in theaters because they’ll probably be more likely to give it a shot if it’s in theatres. Thoughts? How did you introduce your to MST3K and how did it go?
