A few friends and I recently started **Lantern SMP** because we couldn’t find the kind of Minecraft server we actually wanted to play on.

Most servers either felt too commercial, reset every few months, or had so many custom features that they barely felt like Minecraft anymore. We just wanted a long-term world where people could build things that would still be around years later, make friends, and enjoy vanilla survival together.

The server only launched recently, so everyone is still getting established, and we’re currently working on spawn.

We’re looking for people who enjoy building and want to help shape the first impression every new player will have. Whether you’re good at terraforming, medieval builds, paths, landscaping, interiors, or just want to contribute ideas, we’d love the help.

The server stays close to vanilla with a few quality of life features like land claiming, homes, player warps, optional proximity voice chat, and Java/Bedrock crossplay. No pay-to-win, no custom OP gear, and no plans to reset the overworld.

If you’ve ever wanted to help build a community from the very beginning instead of joining one that’s already finished, this is a great time.
