When did you feel comfortable taking your preemies out and about?

Hi everyone. My daughter was born at 30+4 (2.5 lbs, now a little over 6lbs)and had a nicu stay of 36 days. She is almost 3 months old, but about 2 weeks adjusted. She was initially on oxygen, but was off by the time she was 8 days old, took her first bottle at 18 days old and had her NG tube out by 26 days old. Not sure if any of that info is important but figured I’d add it in. She’s had her 2 month vaccines already and will have her 4 month ones in August. She’s met mine and my husbands parents and siblings as well as a few of our grandparents, about 15 members of our family in total on separate occasions.

With all that being said, when did you feel comfortable taking your preemie out in the world? We’ve been invited to a graduation party, and we’d also like to be able to go out to at least the grocery store with her, etc. Obviously it is also what my husband and I are comfortable with, but I’d love to hear others experiences! I’m going to ask her pediatrician as well at her next appointment which is in 6 days, but would love to hear what others have to say as well. Thank you!
