New player here. I rolled a Level 16 Halfling Druid for a short interim campaign. Give me tips on how to create a fun build.

5th Edition

TLDR: New Player. Playing a short interim campaign. Rolled the dice for race and class. Rolled Level 16 CE Halfling Druid. Help me build it. Selfish practical joker.

One of our players just gave birth IRL and we're taking a short break from the main campaign until she's able to play again.

Our DM suggested we play a short interim high level campaign while waiting for her to be ready to join us again.

We're all going to be level 16 and the interim campaign will take place 1000 years before our main campaign.

I decided to roll the dice for my race, class and alignment. I rolled a CE Halfling Druid.

I'm going to roleplay as a selfish practical joker.

This is practically going to be a throwaway character. Basically "if it dies, it dies."

Please give me tips and ideas on how to build a fun character.

I'm going through the spell list and I already see some fun spells I could use. I am however looking to pick your learned brains on which spells would be more fun.

I'm not too worried about being useful or minmaxing the build.

Some ideas on backstory would be appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance!
