Princess lifestyle or A gold trap ?
Alright, this might sound a little off, but hear me out. 🤣
I've noticed that a lot of women say they prefer to stay at home or have their husbands cover all the expenses because they see providing as the man's role. But doesn't that also put women in a vulnerable position?
If you're financially dependent on someone, you're also placing a huge amount of power in their hands. Like one TikTok comment said: "You're one fight away from being homeless." In abusive relationships, that dependence can make it incredibly difficult to leave because your survival is tied to the person hurting you.
Even putting the darker scenarios aside and assuming it's a healthy, loving relationship with the perfect husband... what happens if something happens to him? An accident, illness, death, or financial collapse? What happens to the woman who has depended on him for years?
Objectively speaking regardless of gender, any human who depends entirely on another human for their survival is giving that person a significant amount of control over their life.
What yall think ladies ? 🖖🏻
