Discord isn't displaying my PSN status regardless of what settings are applied
Hello everyone!
I've been encountering an issue over the past few months regarding my PSN status not displaying on my Discord profile.
To preface I've connected my Xbox & Spotify accounts to my Discord profile & have no problems with their status being displayed in real time. However, my PSN status isn't displaying regardless of what privacy settings I use on both Discord & PSN or what method I use to link the accounts.
I've seen this raised a few times over the past 1-2 years and I'm afraid no user provided work-arounds have fixed this for me.
If it helps my desktop version is:
stable 573410 (2481239) Host 1.0.9244 x64 (85420) Build Override: N/A Windows 11 64-bit (10.0.26200)
I've attempted the following:
- Linking to my PSN account through the desktop app, web-browser & mobile app.
- Ensured that my Discord account was fully unlinked when attempting to reconnect on each attempt. Both unlinking through the console & PS mobile app.
- Attempted to link through my PS5 console using the consoles own web browser, both with the password method & the linking code.
- Reset my PSN privacy settings to ensure that my status/activities can display for everyone, and checked that my Discord settings are also open (they already were due to displaying for Xbox/Spotify).
I've also attempted some user suggested fixes such as connecting the accounts, then logging out of both profiles & then logging back and proceeding to test a game. This didn't work in my experience.
I have encountered one temporary fix with connecting my PSN account to a throw-away Discord profile, then reconnecting to my main profile which seemed to work & display the status correctly. But this ceased working the moment I logged out of either account & didn't persist the following day, and using the same fix didn't produce the same results.
Has anyone else experienced this problem & perhaps found any solutions?
Thanks!
