Getting out there

OK, quick context 34-year-old male in the Austin Texas area. Just moved here four months ago. Since I’ve been very busy building two businesses and then working part-time.

I’m at the stage now where I’m gonna start looking into dating and meeting women. I know a lot of cool hobbies that I’ve done before that are great for meeting people. So the advice I’m looking for is more towards how to get from meeting people in these environments and transitioning to a date. What’s some advice that worked well for you or women obviously, you’re input as always appreciated.

I’ll give you a few example scenarios. Salsa dancing, run club, and sand volleyball are great for meeting people. My experience with all three is that it’s kinda hard to go from random “hey nice to meet you. You come here often?” Type of conversation into something more along the line of “would you like to grab a drink sometime?” The only way I can think of is to just keep going back every week or to these events often and then if you keep running into the same person that makes it easier for that transition, but then it became a long process. I’m a little bit more introverted anyways so this isn’t something that comes naturally outside of work environments where you’re in a situation where you interact consistently with somebody and it’s a lot easier to date. Typical coworker dating lifestyle.

But yeah, I’m just curious y’all’s input and things that may have worked for y’all. Serious responses only please.
