Is there something wrong with my game?

I've been shiny hunting for shiny Poipole but I've been resetting for nearly 3 hours now and I haven't seen a single shiny Poipole and honestly at this rate I'm just going to play the game with a normal one. Mind you I play on Joiplay so would that cause it to be stuck as a normal Poipole?
