Is this weird?

I’d always heard about Albion but had never played it. I started recently, have been playing for a month now, and got really hooked on gathering resources but only in yellow zones. I already have a few professions at 100 spec 100/100 T4 and 100/100 T5 in fiber harvesting and woodcutting. But I just can't bring myself to go to the black zones. Even though I've done a few runs there, it just didn't click for some reason. Yellow zones are just so chill. However, everyone keeps telling me that's weird. Is it really that strange?
