Ordis is the best gun in the game
When I first started getting into modding and builds, I just copied what I saw other people doing. Slowly, I started to see patterns, like what mod choices people made on what kinds of weapons or frames. I started doing my own variations, and looked less and less at guides.
Then I looked at Ordis, and decided to try and make it work.
That cephelon is atrocious. I sat for 4 hours staring at his stats, shuffling mods around with nowhere to install them, listening to endless quips. Then I started looking at specific frames and what they or their arcanes could do for him. I started offloading properties like fire rate, crit or status off the gun onto frames and arcanes to save mod space.
After 4 hours, I gave up. Ordis can't be saved, he's piece of trash. In the end, after all my work, I only managed to make him decent.
But after that excruciating 4 hour session, something clicked. The skills I was forced to learn on my quest to make an awful gun good turned out to be the fundamentals of buildcrafting.
Now, I only need to scan a weapons stats and traits, and my mind starts working. I only need to try a frame once and I instantly know where to start exploring to find potential builds.
Ordis unlocked Warframes potential for me, and because of that its the best gun in the game.
