UoL student, needs internship advice
hi! im a upcoming year 2 student in uol's business and management, and i wanted to understand and current student/alumni's timetable (?) timeline (?) idk how to explain it but basically, im interested in focusing on the finance and accounting sector, and i know that to find a full time job after i graduate, i need to have some internship experiences.
however, based on the unique timeline of UoL's academic year, exams typically end in late may/early june, and the break lasts until aug/sept. but most of the internship periods are for may to august (summer internship) or at least 6 months. right now LOA is out of the picture since there aren't any semesters so if i miss 6 months, ill be set back by a full year... but if i really have to take a LOA i guess i would? i know that means later graduation (by a whole year...) but that increases my chances of getting a full time job after graduating. my i really need help on this this is seriously stressing me out so bad...
my other option is to get internship experience after i graduate... but then not a lot of companies would take me because i wouldnt be a student anymore...
also i do have prior internship experiences but NOT in the business sector (i l have a diploma in social work) so my experiences are all in the social service sector instead... please advice thank you!!
im ok (but not ideal) with taking a loa (in year 2's break because it is a little too late now) if that helps
