How can bedbound people support our bodies to minimise other health risks from being sedentary?
(Thought I would put a trigger warning incase others also feel triggered or worried about other long term health issues from being bedbound, hope this is okay)
I have been in a bit of a spiral recently about potential long term complications of being bedbound (Ive been bedbound for 2 years)
I mean in terms of potential cardiovascular issues , muscle loss, loss of bone density etc. I’m so worried about my general health outside of ME/CFS. I know part of this is my anxiety, but I still would like to be able to support my body as best as possible.
I was thinking maybe protein powder or creatine? Supplementing calcium for the bones? But if anyone has any advice or any tips that work for them I would love to hear.
Thank you very much for reading. I may not be able to respond if anyone comments but they will be read and very much appreciated
