Super fine hair question

I have super fine hair. My hairdresser says it is the softest, finest hair he’s ever seen on an adult. To top it off, it is board straight and doesn’t really hold curl without a LOT of hairspray. It is shoulder length with lots of layers to keep from weighing it down. Last, I have very sensitive skin and experience an reaction to a lot of different products, so unless I’m going somewhere special, I don’t usually use much in the way of mousse or root lifter. I was wondering if any of the volumizing shampoos and conditioners actually help with volume? Is there anything else I could use on a daily basis that would provide a little more volume or texture?
