I Tried Sleeping With a Fan Every Night
I used to think people who slept with a fan every night were just obsessed with staying cool.
Then I tried it.
At first, it wasn't even about the temperature. My room just felt kinda stuffy, so I pointed a fan toward the corner of the room and left it running overnight.
The first thing I noticed wasn't the cool air.
It was the sound.
That steady hum somehow drowned out all the random little noises outside. Cars driving by, neighbors talking, doors closing... I barely noticed them anymore.
A few nights later, I realized I was falling asleep faster too. The room felt fresher, and I wasn't constantly flipping my pillow over looking for the cool side.
Now I don't even point the fan directly at me. I just let the air circulate, and it keeps the room feeling comfortable without making me cold.
The funny part is, whenever there's a power outage now, I notice how quiet the room feels. I've gotten so used to that background noise that it almost feels strange without it.
Is sleeping with a fan for everyone? Probably not.
But for me, it turned out to be one of those simple changes that made bedtime a little more relaxing without costing much at all.
