Flare up

got told i had costochondritis after panicking and going to the doctors a couple of months ago due to severe chest pain and a popping sensation when breathing in for 3 days. I was told it was due to the cold i had just a couple weeks beforehand and after about a week it was fine. I suffer quite badly with allergies in the summer and have been sneezing lots in the past few weeks, i woke up this morning with the pain again and it’s getting worse as the day goes on.
Is it normal that after you’ve had it once it just keeps coming back?
