**Notable events:**

Personal:

**→**Monday, June 22nd, ailing Father-in-law fell down; was unusually winded; incoherent.
**→**Tuesday, July 23^(rd), the tenant in F-I-L’s rental house called wife, seemed frantic and unstable, due to witnessing a mouse in the house (seemed an overreaction, tbh).  Ultimately leads to significant hassle on my wife’s part, trying to get the rental house back up to reasonable standards after years of neglect.
**→**On Friday, June 26^(th), wife received a ranting message from one of her father’s friends, subtly accusing her (incorrectly) of not doing enough for her ailing father.
**→**On Sunday, June 28^(th), wife’s father woke up with tumor having increased in size exponentially overnight.  He called wife early in the morning, alarmed.  Wanted new doctor’s appointments.  He’s also in more pain (perhaps due to nerve regeneration in his face after a semi-recent surgery).  She had to leave and go meet with him, to assess the situation.

Global / National:

**→**June 23^(rd); the Democratic Socialists of America win a surprising number of elections in New York’s Democratic primaries.  They repeat this pattern again, unexpectedly, in Colorado on June 30^(th).  This leads to several prominent DNC members and advocates ‘crashing out’ and procures slanders, hyperbole, and demagoguery from conservatives (thus highlighting the unexpected Uranian aspect; the combative Martian aspect, and the ‘highlighted or exposed divisions’ theme commonly expected when Gemini-themes are involved).
**→**June 24^(th); two large strike-slip earthquakes occur in Yaracuy, Venezuela and surrounding areas.  Massive damage and high-numbers of deaths reported in La Guairia and Caracas.  Thousands reported missing.  Conservative estimates place the numbers at 2,290+ killed, over 11,200 injured.  (Note:  In Tropical / Whole Sign, the conjunction occurs in Venezuela’s 8^(th) House, which is related to natural disasters, crises, and mortality rates; also the sign of Taurus, where the conjunction falls in True-Sky, is related quite literally to ‘the ground beneath one’s feet’).  There are doubts about the official numbers of deaths, due to gov’t ineptitude.  Note that “ruptures” (literal, in this instance) are a major signification of Mars-Uranus conjunctions.  Also, Neptune’s involvement explains the “lack of clarity” theme around the details / #’s of deaths, etc.
**→**June 26^(th); Iran attacks a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz; U.S. retaliates by bombing Iranian drone storage facilities and radar sites.  (“Surprise attacks” are common Mars-Uranus themes).
**→**June 28^(th); News story:  a young woman swimming in a Florida state forest is suddenly attacked and killed by an alligator.  This becomes a national news headline.  (Mars-Uranus “sudden attack” themes + Pluto’s themes of mortality, and the ‘monster surfacing from within the hidden depths.’)
**→**June 29^(th); an improvised bomb targeting a Ukranian tycoon with ties to Russia explodes in Monaco, near the French Riveria.  The intended target escapes, but is wounded.  On July 2^(nd), Interpol releases info about the suspect (still at large, as of the time of collating this data), a woman, Anastasiia Berezovska (identifiable by her ability to speak German, and a snake tattoo on her forearm) spotted by CCTV cameras near the scene of the crime.  She initially disguised herself as a man in order to plant the bomb.  From one article:  “The attack shocked the country situated on the Mediterranean coast, known for its high concentration of wealthy residents…”  \[Al-Jazeera\].  Likely this was a coordinated assassination attempt orchestrated by Ukraine +/or allies, likely with some sort of support from intelligence apparatus.  This is a rare instance in which all of the elements of the conjunction (Mars + Uranus, with trine from Pluto and sextile from Neptune) are active, including the sign of the conjunction (Gemini “sending a message” / Mercurial themes).  The explosion itself is Mars-Uranus, obvs.  The Neptunian deception / lack of clarity, the Gemini themes of “dual identity,” the Plutonic “behind the scenes / beneath the surface planning” of intelligence agencies, etc.
**→**June 29^(th); Seasonal wildfires in Colorado begin to spiral out of control.  By July 1^(st) evacuations begin, and over 74,000 acres are burned.
**→**June 30^(th); Massive anti-immigration protests break out in South Africa.  Several immigrant housing blocks and buildings are destroyed or damaged.
**→**July 1^(st); Russia attacks Kyiv, Ukraine, killing 21, injuring 85, and causing damage to infrastructure.  Likely in response to the aforementioned\^ bombing on June 29th.
**→**July 1^(st); Anti-gov’t protests break out in Albania, due to Jared Kushner’s investments there.  The protests become violent, w/ protestors throwing rocks at police and destroying a police car, and police retaliating with pepper spray and tear gas.  This becomes known domestically and in the international press as “The Flamingo Revolution.”
**→**July 2^(nd); the June jobs numbers for the U.S. were released, and found to be considerably below the expected prior forecasts of economists (reaching only about half the numbers projected beforehand).  Martian “bubble popping” in an unanticipated (Uranian) way, regarding data / numbers / economics (i.e., Mercury-ruled Gemini themes).  Also suggestive of potential economic instability beneath the surface (Uranus in Sibley-U.S. 6^(th) House; Pluto trine).  This also works with the Saturn ■ Sun aspect (see below), as in “deflated hopes.”  A rare case where two separate, barely-related astrological aspects converge together with a single event or narrative.
**→**A news story dominating the headlines on July 2nd:  “House of Horrors Revealed: 16 Children Were Almost Like 'Feral Animals'.”  (Headline from People Magazine).  The gist is a family (a set of grandparents and their adult son + the latter’s wife) in Ohio had trapped 16 children (presumably their own kin) in a single room in a house for years.  The children were malnourished and quite literally ‘feral.’  Several of the child-victims are still in the hospital for medical treatments required as a result of severe neglect (As of the time of collating this data; 7-4-2026).  This story shocked citizens of the Ohio town in which the discovery took place, and has become a national news story.  The disturbing nature of it + the ‘sudden revelation’ of something that had been going on for years (a hidden situation suddenly coming to light) is very much on theme for Uranus amplified by Mars.  Also, the Pluto trine to the Mars-Uranus conjunction (currently at 1° orb) is demonstrated, as a ‘shadowy underworld’ (secretive, dark happenings in a secluded house) news story about ‘hidden things’ (maltreated children, in this case) suddenly and shockingly coming to light (Mars-Uranus) is what has captivated (Uranus) the public at large.

**Notes on why this transit has been less volatile than predicted, thus far**:  Aspects w/ fast-moving bodies such as the Sun or Moon tend to be less emphasized in mundane astrology.  They describe real effects, but usually less intense, and often merely serve to moderate other, more potent or dynamic concurrent aspects.  Or else they serve as sub-plots to a larger story.  In this case, I do wonder if the “tamping down” effect of the concurrent Saturn ■ Sun might be mitigating the normal volatility of a Mars **☌** Uranus?  (See below for more on this transit).  Also, the Mars **☌** Uranus aspect is occurring in the U.S.’s 7^(th) House of “the other,” suggesting that the volatility could be “elsewhere” or more foreign, rather than domestic (as another mitigating factor for Americans, at least)…  The Pluto retrograde (as opposed to a direct-stationed Pluto) also mitigates, making the expression more inward / subterranean, as opposed to the more common or expected “powerful” or “volcanic” / extroverted manifestations of Pluto.  Pluto generally is understood as “the underworld manifesting in full-force,” but Pluto (Rx / retrograde) is more analogous to “the underworld turning inward upon itself,” or “the burial chamber beneath the basement.”  E.g., the collective unconscious vs. the personal unconscious.  It’s more involuted, in other words; it’s “the deep” when multiplied by itself, or taken to deeper chambers within itself.  “The doubly hidden,” or “the recursive.”  It’s self-consuming; internally pressurized.  “The underworld beneath the underworld.”  It’s the black-hole of astrological manifestations.  When trining (positively influencing) a Mars-Uranus conjunction, it is very possible that this would suggest a mollifying or subduing effect, because it inhibits the outward or extroverted manifestation, instead making everything more related to the “collective internal experience.”  Neptunian sextile suggest themes more related to mood than anything, i.e., the subjective experience of the disillusioned modern-day Doomer, vs. the types of experiences typified by 1980’s “in your face” action movies w/ their more “eventful” expressions.  Saturn ■ Sun typifies this latter signification as well (by which I mean: Neptunian “dampened moods” = similar to Saturn ■ Sun “diminished vitality.”).

**Concurrent Transits:**

**Saturn** ■ **Sun** \-at tight 1.2° separating orb on July 4^(th) (when Mars-Uranus goes exact).

Saturn Tropical Location:  Aries
Saturn True-Sky / MTZ Location:  Pisces

Sun Tropical Location:  Cancer
Sun True-Sky / MTZ Location:  Gemini

Active 10° orb:  June 25^(th) – July 17^(th)
Heightened 3° orb window:  July 2^(nd) – July 10^(th)
Exact Conjunction:  July 6^(th)

**Core themes:**  Suggests a time / moment when collective vitality, confidence, leadership, identity, and momentum (Sun) are compressed \[square\] by friction, accountability, limits, fatigue, consequences, deflation, emotional burnout, or restructuring (Saturn).

**Further significations:**  Leadership under stress, legitimacy tests, institutional pressure, reduced optimism, economic caution, austerity, “reality checks,” infrastructure strain, fatigue in the public mood, exposure of weak foundations, delayed progress.

**Sign Frictions:**

Aries Vs. Cancer \[Tropical\]:  Assertion, independence, action, militancy, self-definition (Aries) vs. (or interfluent with) emotional security, homeland, family, protection, memory, belonging.

Significations of this dynamic include:  politics related to issues of national borders, homeland protections, nationalism, housing insecurity, family policy, public anxiety around safety, militarization framed as protection; collective defensiveness, volatility, atavism, tribalism / partisanship, emotional retrenchment.  Leadership through hardness could become a theme, strain on care-systems possible (healthcare industries, childcare, etc.).  Fear-based narratives.

Pisces Vs. Gemini \[True-Sky / MTZ\]:  Dissolution, spirituality, confusion, “the oceanic,” collective emotion, sacrifice, dreams (Pisces) vs. (or interfluent with) information, language, media, commerce, networks, narratives, duality + polarity (Gemini).

Significations of this dynamic include:  Information fatigue / narrative collapse; confusion in media, mistrust of information, issues related to propaganda, a question of what type of info is authentic, fragmented attention, cognitive overload, “the consequences of misinformation,” institutional overregulation of narratives, collective mental saturation.  Also: spiritual disillusionment, escapism, emotional manipulation, chaotic debates around truth, contradictions, weakening certainty, communication restrictions, transit issues, psychological sobering, collective melancholy, existential questioning, heightened realism, uncertainty of belief.

Agglomerated read across multiple systems:  Reduced excess, pressure to mature, collapse of inflated confidence, forced prioritization, identity / system restructuring; general fatigue or deflation (emotional, mental, spiritual, psychological).  “Systems are strained, identity is contested, and the collective psyche is being forced into sobering reassessment.”

**Global / National Examples:**

**→**June 30^(th); Supreme Court rules against President Trump’s attempt to undermine the birthright citizenship clause of the Constitution (Saturnian “rules” compressing Solar Leadership principle; also relevant to the Aries vs. Cancer dynamic).
**→**July 1^(st); NYT Headline:  “Immigrant Arrests Surge to 10,000 in 5 Days as ICE Clamps Down.”  Referred to in some media outlets as a Stephen Miller pushed “blitz,” the 5-day surge averaged about 2,000 immigrant arrests per day.  Very Saturn (“law, esp. when enacted coldly”) in Aries (quick-acting) vs.—or interfluent with—Cancerian themes of ‘the homeland,’ protectionism, etc.
**→**July 2^(nd); the June jobs numbers for the U.S. were released, and found to be considerably below the expected prior economic forecasts (reaching only about half the numbers projected beforehand).  Thus an inflated expectation (Solar vitality) deflated by reality (Saturn).
**→**July 2^(nd); TNR Headline:  “Trump’s July 4 Event Is Coming Apart at the Seams—Literally.”  Exposes the lackluster attendance of Trump’s 250^(th) National Fair (squared Sun), specifically highlighting structural issues (Saturn) at the event, after a piece of shoddily constructed equipment fell from a stage’s scaffolding, nearly striking practicing performers.  The  comically poor attendance of the 250^(th) event in general also belies a fatigued, demoralized public, which is a fairly literal Saturn-Square-Sun signification.  Later, on July 4^(th), Newsweek led with the headline: “Great American State Fair Visitors On Life Support Amid Extreme Heatwave.”  (Saturn continues to deplete the Solar vitality).
**→**July 2^(nd); Another Newsweek Headline:  “America’s Wheat Harvest Set to Fall to Lowest Level in 150 Years.”  Excerpt:  “*America is expected to harvest its lowest acreage of wheat since 1877, due to drought, scorched crops, high input costs and uncertainty in export markets... The figures have renewed concern about the long-term decline of one of America's most historically important crops and raised questions about what it could mean for farmers, food prices and U.S. agriculture more broadly*.”   This actually touches upon all the current astrological themes, but the Saturn ■ Sun is the most obvious.  The Solar principles of vitality, growth, abundance, productivity, and life, constrained by Saturnian principles of depletion, contraction, scarcity, sobering reality, limitations, decline / exhaustion, drought / attrition.  The “heat” of Aries vs. Solar fire component, also.  There is a Mars-Uranus element, insofar as a “scorched crop” and the resultant economic volatility presumes (Gemini involvement as well).  Pluto (rx) = “long ignored structural decline” suddenly obvious (Uranus).  Neptunian uncertainty related to exports, and ambiguity about what this suggests for the future…
