Medical School A (starts this year) or Medical School B (APS; starts next year)

I am grateful to have received acceptances to medical school. However, I am deciding which school is better to attend.

Medical School A

  • low tuition

  • starts this year

  • graded

  • mandatory lectures

  • not the best location

  • rural clinical rotation sites

  • less dedicated time for board preparation

Medical School B (APS)

  • pass/fail
  • non-mandatory lectures
  • more time to study for boards
  • preferred location
  • better clinical rotation sites
  • high tuition
  • requires waiting for one more year
