Manhattan vs Brooklyn, where should I live as first time NYC-mover as a Big4 Accountant?

For context, I would be moving to NYC from Houston, TX for a Big 4 job ($123K). Office is in Midtown. Can I get yalls thoughts on where to live? Is it worth paying the premium to live in Manhattan to be close to work and live in the city?
