What are your Favorite Power Granters?

Like sometimes in stories, there's a specific character or mcguffin that grants unatural powers. Which are your faves?

I like the Wizard from Shazam the Captain Marvel! Probably more in concept than in execution. Because he's literally an aged wizard that communes with the gods and figures of mythology and he finds Billy Batson who is just so pure and good he believes giving the powers which were previously wrongly granted to a hero that turned out not to be hoping he'd be the hero the world needed insteasld. And by extension the rest of the Marvel, his decesion is not treated without scruteny and he's hardly just a bystanding innocent old man but you also get that he's basically trying his hardest to make the best possible choice for a hero that can save the day.

I'm not sure if this plotline even had a payoff, much less a good one, but for a while the Wizard and the letters of S.H.A.Z.A.M. sure compelled me.
