I’m a Christian girl and I feel really bad about eat meat/animals. Does God actually want us to eat meat?

I’m 13F and this has been bothering me for months now. Are there any vegetarian or vegan Christians on here? It bothers my dad that I want to stop eating meat and he said that God designed for us to, but I just feel really bad thinking about how the animals die especially by factory farming in bad conditions and living terrible lives (i’ve watched videos about this). I like the way meat tastes but I feel sad for the animals when I think about it.
