My experience trying weighted blankets for the first time
I thought weighted blankets were one of those overhyped internet products that everyone forgets about a month later.
Then one went on sale, and I figured... why not?
My first reaction wasn't "wow this is amazing." It was more like, "Dang, this thing is HEAVY." Folding it was basically a workout, and I remember wondering how anyone actually slept under it.
The first night felt kinda weird. It took me a while to get used to it because it felt like someone had gently tucked me in and wasn't letting me move around as much.
But after a few nights, something changed. I noticed I wasn't tossing and turning nearly as much. Instead of constantly flipping from one side to the other, I'd settle into one position and actually stay there.
It's definitely not for everyone. If you're someone who gets hot really easily, I can see why you'd hate it. And I still switch back to a regular blanket during the hottest part of summer.
But for cooler nights? I totally get the hype now.
I wouldn't say it magically fixed my sleep or anything, but it made bedtime feel a little cozier and somehow more relaxing than I expected.
Curious if anyone else tried a weighted blanket expecting it to be a gimmick and ended up keeping it around?
