My parents have $50k in savings they are refusing to use to pay $25k in cc debt.

I’m at my wits end with them. What can I do? Do I just let it go? They say they “need a buffer” and that they don’t want to “spend $25k to get rid of the debt?” Am I just being lied to? No amount of logic is convincing them. My next step is demanding to see the statements to make sure they are telling the truth but I don’t know what my next step is if it all checks out. I’m entering adulthood and just now beginning to openly discuss finances with the parents and I’m beyond frustrated. Any ideas or advice is appreciated.
