Storytime 🌌✨

Pata Hai Aaj Kya hua (not exactly Aaj)

So, I've known this guy for about a year through a random group chat. We actually live pretty close to each other, and our schools were literally side by side.

we get along really well. We're pretty similar as people, and conversations with him were always easy, which is probably why I wanted to meet him in the first place.

A few months ago I became inactive in the GC because I was busy with clg. Recently, since it's summer break, they added me back to the group. Since I was finally home, I decided to gather the courage to ask him if he wanted to meet.

The first time, he completely ignored my message. 😭 The conversation moved on, and he never answered.

A little later, I asked again during a group call. He basically said, "We'll see," which honestly made me feel like he wasn't interested. I didn't want to make things awkward by asking a third time, so I dropped the idea completely.

Then, a few days ago, we were talking about college in the GC. He asked me how long I'd be home, and then, completely out of nowhere, he said, "We should meet then."

I was genuinely surprised because I'd already convinced myself he didn't want to.

So we made plans and met for the first time two days ago.

We'd never actually seen each other before this. We met at a mall. He arrived about 10 minutes late, greeted me with a handshake (😭), and we started walking around together.

I expected the meetup to be painfully awkward because we're both introverts, but honestly... it wasn't.

We spent most of the time just walking around the mall talking. Eventually we sat across from each other in the food court, and THAT was definitely the most awkward part. 😭

But he kept trying to keep the conversation going by asking random questions, and I somehow ended up talking about random stories from my life. There were a few moments where we'd both go quiet and look around for a couple of seconds, but the silence never felt uncomfortable.

Later we went to Burger King, ordered two meals, and he paid for everything. I kept insisting on paying my half, but he refused.

We ended up hanging out for around two hours. Before meeting, I'd spent days trying to think of conversation topics because I thought we'd run out of things to say. Instead, most of the conversation happened naturally, and by the end we were both much more comfortable than when we first met.

The part I keep thinking about is when we were walking toward the metro station to leave. That's when it hit me that I genuinely didn't want the meetup to end. It felt like we'd only just gotten comfortable, and then suddenly it was time to go home. Looking back, I also keep remembering more things I wanted to tell him, but they only came to mind after we'd already left.

I REALLY WANNA MEET HIM AGAIN BUT IDK IF HE'D AGREE tbh i wanna have casual friendship with him

like irl frnds who'd hangout every other day but idk he wants that or not and I can't even ask him
